Subcutaneous Emphysema - Medical Illustration, Human Anatomy Drawing
This medical exhibit demonstrates subcutaneous emphysema in a middle age male patient. Air is shown leaching out through an opening in the trachea into the subcutaneous tissue. Excess body weight prevents proper expansion of the lungs, increasing the pressure of air forced back up through the trachea.
